The Intentions Towards Infidelity Scale – ITIS was developed by Daniel Nelson Jones, Sally Gayle Olderbak, & Aurelio José Figueredo (2011). It is designed to measure Infidelity Intentions. The scale is intended for use with Adults in committed romantic relationships.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 7 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: -3 = Not at all Likely, -2 = -2, -1 = -1, 0 = 0, 1 = 1, 2 = 2, 3 = Extremely Likely.
The scale includes 1 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.
