The Hurlbert Index of Sexual Narcissism – HISN was developed by David F. Hurlbert, C. Apt, N. E. Wilson, & Y. Murphy (1994). It is designed to measure Sexual Narcissism. The scale is intended for use with Adults.

Scoring

Total scores range from 0 to 100. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Sexual Narcissism: 0 – 35
- Moderate Sexual Narcissism: 36 – 70
- High Sexual Narcissism: 71 – 100
