Scale Overview
The Sexual Scripts Overlap Scale—Short Version (SSOS-S) was developed by Aleksandar Štulhofer, Ivan Landripet (2010). It is designed to measure Sexual Scripts Overlap. The scale is intended for use with Young adults (18–25).

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Not at all, 2 = Somewhat, 3 = Moderately, 4 = A Great Deal, 5 = Exceptionally.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 80. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Overlap (Lower influence of pornography on sexual socialization): 0 – 40
- High Overlap (Greater influence of pornography on sexual socialization): 41 – 80
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.88.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 8 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
