Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 18 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: Yes = Yes (describes your job), ? = ? (undecided), No = No (does not describe your job).
The scale includes 8 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 54. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Job Satisfaction: 0 – 21
- Moderate/Neutral Job Satisfaction: 22 – 32
- High Job Satisfaction: 33 – 54
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of .82 to .94.
