Scale Overview
The Fairness Perceptions of an Organizational Policy was developed by Steven L. Grover (1991). It is designed to measure Fairness perceptions of parental leave policies. The scale is intended for use with Employees.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a 7-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree to 7 = Strongly Agree).
The scale includes 4 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.
Total scores range from 9 to 63. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low perceived fairness/support: 9 – 27
- Moderate perceived fairness/support: 28 – 45
- High perceived fairness/support: 46 – 63
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.95.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 3 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
