Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 19 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Always, 2 = Most of the time, 3 = Some of the time, 4 = Rarely, 5 = Never.
The scale includes 6 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.
Total scores range from 1 to 5. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Role Strain: 1 – 2
- Moderate Role Strain: 2 – 3
- High Role Strain: 3 – 5
