Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 54 items organized into 7 factors/subscales: Innovation, Stability, Attention to Detail, Team Orientation, Respect for People, Outcome Orientation, Aggressiveness.
| Factor / Subscale | Items | N |
|---|---|---|
| Innovation | 2,5,6,7,8 | 5 |
| Stability | 3,4,11 | 3 |
| Attention to Detail | 12,13,14 | 3 |
| Team Orientation | 15,16,41,43 | 4 |
| Respect for People | 18,19,20,21,25 | 5 |
| Outcome Orientation | 31,32,34,51 | 4 |
| Aggressiveness | 26,53 | 2 |
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Most Undesirable / Least Characteristic, 2 = Highly Undesirable / Highly Uncharacteristic, 3 = Undesirable / Uncharacteristic, 4 = Somewhat Undesirable / Somewhat Uncharacteristic, 5 = Neutral, 6 = Somewhat Desirable / Somewhat Characteristic, 7 = Desirable / Characteristic, 8 = Highly Desirable / Highly Characteristic, 9 = Most Desirable / Most Characteristic.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 100. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Person-Organization Fit (based on profile correlation percentile): 0 – 49
- Moderate Person-Organization Fit (based on profile correlation percentile): 50 – 74
- High Person-Organization Fit (based on profile correlation percentile): 75 – 100
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Spearman-Brown reliability ranged from .84 to .94.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
