The Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale – OCBS was developed by Philip M. Podsakoff, Scott B. MacKenzie, Robert H. Moorman, Richard Fetter (1990). It is designed to measure Organizational Citizenship Behavior. The scale is intended for use with Working adults / Employees.

This instrument consists of 24 items organized into 5 factors/subscales: Altruism, Conscientiousness, Sportsmanship, Courtesy, Civic Virtue.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a 7-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree to 7 = Strongly Agree).
The scale includes 5 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 24 to 168. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Organizational Citizenship Behavior: 24 – 72
- Moderate Organizational Citizenship Behavior: 73 – 120
- High Organizational Citizenship Behavior: 121 – 168
