Response anchors: 1 = never do it, 2 = seldom do it, 3 = occasionally do it, 4 = often do it, 5 = almost always do it.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 24 to 120. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Ingratiation: 24 – 56
- Moderate Ingratiation: 57 – 88
- High Ingratiation: 89 – 120
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Alpha values: Opinion conformity (.56-.79), Other enhancement (.74-.84), Favor rendering (.72-.86), Self-presentation (.73-.77), Combined (.86-.93).
