Scale Overview
The Antisocial Behaviors Scale was developed by Sandra L. Robinson & Anne M. O’Leary-Kelly (1998). It is designed to measure Workplace antisocial behavior. The scale is intended for use with Working adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 9 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Very infrequently, 2 = Infrequently, 3 = Sometimes, 4 = Frequently, 5 = Very frequently.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 9 to 45. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low: 9 – 18
- Moderate: 19 – 31
- High: 32 – 45
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha: .68 – .81.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 3 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
