Scale Overview
The About Your Company Scale was developed by Donald King (1960). It is designed to measure Workplace Attitudes; Organizational Satisfaction. The scale is intended for use with Employees / Working Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 20 items organized into 3 factors/subscales: General Factor (Overall Attitudes), Factor A (Respect for Employees’ Rights), Factor B (Opportunities for Personal Development).

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a dichotomous Yes/No format.
The scale includes 6 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 20. Interpretation guidelines:
- Unfavorable Workplace Attitude: 0 – 7
- Neutral Workplace Attitude: 8 – 14
- Favorable Workplace Attitude: 15 – 20
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
