Scale Overview
The Antecedents of Sexual and Reproductive Health Misperceptions – Model (ASRHM-M) was developed by Dong, Yujie; Zhang, Lianshan; Lam, Chervin; Huang, Zhongwei (2024). It is designed to measure Sexual and reproductive health misperceptions and their antecedents. The scale is intended for use with Adult women.

Response anchors: 1 = Strongly Disagree / Very False, 2 = Disagree / False, 3 = Somewhat Disagree / Somewhat False, 4 = Neutral / Undecided, 5 = Somewhat Agree / Somewhat True, 6 = Agree / True, 7 = Strongly Agree / Very True.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 22 to 154. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low level of antecedents and misperceptions: 22 – 65
- Moderate level of antecedents and misperceptions: 66 – 110
- High level of antecedents and misperceptions: 111 – 154
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Cronbach's alpha ranged from .78 to .90 across subscales.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 8 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
