The Academic Communication Inventory (ACI) was developed by Kristen A. Archbell, Robert J. Coplan (2023). It is designed to measure Academic Communication. The scale is intended for use with Undergraduate students.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 12 items organized into 2 factors/subscales: Communication With Instructors, Communication With Peers.

- High Academic Communication: 45 – 60
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Alpha of .88 for Instructors subscale and .86 for Peers subscale.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
