The Aggression/Victimization Scale – SAGE Baseline Survey was developed by Flewelling, R. L., Paschall, M. J., & Ringwalt, C. L. (1993). It is designed to measure Aggression and Victimization. The scale is intended for use with Adolescents (specifically males aged 12-16).
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 12 items organized into 4 factors/subscales: Aggression, Victimization, Exposure to Violence, High Risk Behavior.

| Victimization | 4,12 | 2 |
| Exposure to Violence | 9 | 1 |
| High Risk Behavior | 10,11 | 2 |

Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Within the past month, 2 = Between 1 and 6 months ago, 3 = Between 6 months and 1 year ago, 4 = Over 1 year ago, 5 = Never.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 12. Interpretation guidelines:
- No past-year violent or violence-related behavior: 0 – 0
- Presence of past-year violent or violence-related behavior: 1 – 12
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
