Scale Overview
The Fighting – High Risk Behavioral Assessment was developed by Dolan, S. (1989). It is designed to measure Exposure to and participation in fighting and violence. The scale is intended for use with Students aged 8-18.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 10 items organized into 4 factors/subscales: Observation of Violence, Peer Violence, Personal Involvement, Vulnerability.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 0 = No, 1 = Yes, Rarely (1-3/year), 2 = Yes, Occasionally (1-2/month), 3 = Yes, Regularly (daily or 1-2/week).
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
