Scale Overview
The Gender Conflict Scale – GCS was developed by Marina Epstein (2008). It is designed to measure Gender Conflict. The scale is intended for use with Adolescents and adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 14 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Not at all / Never, 2 = 2, 3 = 3, 4 = 4, 5 = Extremely / All the time.
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.
Total scores range from 1 to 5. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Gender Conflict: 1 – 2
- Moderate Gender Conflict: 2 – 3
- High Gender Conflict: 3 – 5

Administration
