Scale Overview
The Friends’ Delinquent Behavior—Peer Deviancy Scale was developed by Multisite Violence Prevention Project & Conduct Problems Prevention Research Group (CPPRG) (2000). It is designed to measure Peer Deviancy. The scale is intended for use with Adolescents.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 10 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 0 = None of them, 1 = Very few of them, 3 = Some of them, 4 = Most of them, 5 = All of them.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 50. Interpretation guidelines:
- Total Score (Higher scores indicate higher levels of problem behaviors among peers): 0 – 50
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
