Scale Overview
The Self-Reported Delinquency Scale (SRDS) was developed by Thornberry, T. P., Krohn, M. D., Lizotte, A. J., Smith, C. A., & Tobin, K. (2003). It is designed to measure Delinquent behavior. The scale is intended for use with Adolescents.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 36 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a dichotomous Yes/No format.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 36. Interpretation guidelines:
- Total Delinquency Score: 0 – 36
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
