Scale Overview
The Specific Phobia of Vomiting Inventory (SPOVI-14) was developed by David Veale, Michael Boschen, Natalie Ellison, Anna Costa (2013). It is designed to measure Specific Phobia of Vomiting (Emetophobia). The scale is intended for use with Adults.

Response anchors: 0 = Not at all, 1 = A little, 2 = Often, 3 = A lot, 4 = All the time.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 56. Interpretation guidelines:
- Minimal severity: 0 – 14
- Mild severity: 15 – 28
- Moderate severity: 29 – 42
- Severe severity: 43 – 56
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
