Scale Overview
The Unwanted Pursuit Behavior Inventory – UPBI was developed by Jennifer Langhinrichsen-Rohling, Regina E. Palarea, J. Cohen, & Mark L. Rohling (2000). It is designed to measure Unwanted pursuit behaviors and stalking victimization. The scale is intended for use with Adults post-breakup.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 26 items organized into 2 factors/subscales: Mild Acts, Severe Acts.

Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 26. Interpretation guidelines:
- Total Endorsed Behaviors (Sum of Yes responses): 0 – 26
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
