Scale Overview
The Dieting Beliefs Scale – DBS was developed by Stephen Stotland & David C. Zuroff (1990). It is designed to measure Weight Locus of Control. The scale is intended for use with Adults.

Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Not at all descriptive of my beliefs, 2 = 2, 3 = 3, 4 = 4, 5 = 5, 6 = Very descriptive of my beliefs.
The scale includes 8 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
