Scale Overview
The Organizational Policies and Practices Scale – OPPS was developed by Scott B. Button (2001). It is designed to measure Organizational efforts to affirm sexual diversity. The scale is intended for use with Employees.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 10 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = No, 2 = Yes.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 10 to 20. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low organizational support: 10 – 13
- Moderate organizational support: 14 – 17
- High organizational support: 18 – 20
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 3 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
