Scale Overview
The Miller Marital Locus of Control Scale – MMLOC was developed by Miller, P. C., Lefcourt, H. M., & Ware, W. E. (1983). It is designed to measure Marital Locus of Control. The scale is intended for use with Married individuals.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: -2 = Disagree very much, -1 = Disagree a little, 0 = Neither agree nor disagree, 1 = Agree a little, 2 = Agree very much.
The scale includes 22 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 44 to 220. Interpretation guidelines:
- Strong Internal Locus of Control: 44 – 102
- Intermediate Locus of Control: 103 – 161
- Strong External Locus of Control: 162 – 220
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
