Scale Overview
The Aggression Towards Parents—High Risk Behavioral Assessment was developed by S. Dolan (1989). It is designed to measure Exposure to family aggression and runaway behavior. The scale is intended for use with Students aged 8-18.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 8 items organized into 4 factors/subscales: Peer Aggression, Personal Aggression, Parental Aggression, Runaway Behavior.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a dichotomous Yes/No format.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 8. Interpretation guidelines:
- Total number of affirmative exposures/behaviors: 0 – 8
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
