The Parent-Teacher Involvement Questionnaire – Parent Version (PTIQ-P) was developed by Corrigan, A. / Miller-Johnson, S. & Maumary-Gremaud, A. (2002). It is designed to measure Parent-Teacher Involvement. The scale is intended for use with Parents of school-aged children.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 26 items organized into 4 factors/subscales: Frequency of Parent-Teacher Contact, Parent’s Involvement and Volunteering at School, Quality of the Relationship between Parent and Teacher, Parent’s Endorsement of Child’s School.

Response anchors: Items 1-10 = 0 = Never, 1 = Once or twice a year, 2 = Almost every month, 3 = Almost every week, 4 = More than once per week, Items 11-22 = 0 = Not at all, 1 = A little, 2 = Some, 3 = A lot, 4 = A great deal, Items 23-26 = 0 = Strongly disagree, 1 = Disagree, 2 = Not sure, 3 = Agree, 4 = Strongly agree.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 104. Interpretation guidelines:
Total score range (higher scores indicate greater involvement, better relationship quality, and higher school endorsement): 0 – 104
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Alpha ranges from .66 to .91 across subscales.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
