The Perceived Maternal Parenting Self-Efficacy Questionnaire – PMP S-E was developed by Barnes, C. R., & Adamson-Macedo, E. N. (2007). It is designed to measure Perceived Maternal Parenting Self-Efficacy. The scale is intended for use with Mothers of infants.

Total scores range from 20 to 80. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Parenting Self-Efficacy: 20 – 49
- Moderate Parenting Self-Efficacy: 50 – 69
- High Parenting Self-Efficacy: 70 – 80
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.91 – 0.96.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
