The Love of Life Scale – LLS was developed by Ahmed M. Abdel-Khalek (2007). It is designed to measure Love of life. The scale is intended for use with Adults.

This instrument consists of 16 items organized into 3 factors/subscales: Positive attitude towards life, Happy consequences of love of life, Meaningfulness of life.

Total scores range from 16 to 80. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low love of life: 16 – 32
- Below average love of life: 33 – 48
- Above average love of life: 49 – 64
- High love of life: 65 – 80
