Scale Overview
The Obsessive Relational Intrusion – Short Form (ORI-SF) was developed by William R. Cupach & Brian H. Spitzberg (2004). It is designed to measure Obsessive Relational Intrusion / Stalking Victimization. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 28 items.
Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 0 = Never, 1 = Only Once, 2 = 2 or 3 Times, 3 = 4 to 5 Times, 4 = Over 5 times.
Scoring
Items are summed to produce a total score.
Total scores range from 0 to 112. Interpretation guidelines:
- No victimization: 0 – 0
- Low level of victimization: 1 – 28
- Moderate level of victimization: 29 – 56
- High level of victimization: 57 – 112
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
