Scale Overview
The Measure Yourself Medical Outcome Profile – MYMOP2 was developed by Charlotte Paterson (1996). It is designed to measure Patient-reported medical outcomes and wellbeing. The scale is intended for use with Patients receiving medical or complementary treatment.

This instrument consists of 4 items organized into 3 factors/subscales: Symptoms, Activity, Wellbeing.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 0 = As good as it could be, 1 = 1, 2 = 2, 3 = 3, 4 = 4, 5 = 5, 6 = As bad as it could be.
Scoring
Item scores are averaged to produce a mean score.
Total scores range from 0 to 6. Interpretation guidelines:
- Minimal symptom/problem severity: 0 – 1
- Moderate symptom/problem severity: 2 – 4
- Severe symptom/problem severity: 5 – 6
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
