Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = I reject this, 2 = I am inclined to reject this, 3 = I neither reject nor accept this, 4 = I am inclined to accept this, 5 = I accept this as important, 6 = I accept this as very important, 7 = I accept this as of the greatest importance.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 1 to 7. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Importance / Rejection: 1 – 3
- Moderate Importance / Neutrality: 3 – 4
- High Importance / Acceptance: 5 – 7
Psychometric Properties
Internal Consistency: The scale has demonstrated good to excellent internal consistency with reported Cronbach’s alpha values of Alpha coefficients range from 0.59 to 0.89 across subscales.
Administration
The scale is self-administered and typically takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It can be administered individually or in group settings. No special training is required for administration.
