Scale Overview
The Social and Emotional Resources Inventory – Revised (SERI) was developed by Danielle Mohr, L.A. Shirley, L.A. Rosén (2012). It is designed to measure Childhood protective factors and resilience resources. The scale is intended for use with Adults (retrospective).
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 80 items organized into 15 factors/subscales: Intelligence, Parenting Practices, Parent Connections, Self-Esteem, Money and Resources, Faith, Talent, Good Schools, Prosocial Adults, Kin Connections, Prosocial Organizations, Coping, Temperament, Parental Expectations, Neighborhood Safety.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a 5-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly Disagree to 5 = Strongly Agree).
The scale includes 4 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 80 to 400. Interpretation guidelines:
- Low Resources: 80 – 186
- Moderate Resources: 187 – 293
- High Resources: 294 – 400

Administration
