Scale Overview
The Dimensions of Religiosity Scale – DRS was developed by Morton B. King (1967). It is designed to measure Religiosity. The scale is intended for use with Adults.
Scale Structure
This instrument consists of 86 items organized into 10 factors/subscales: Creedal Assent and Personal Commitment, Participation in Congregational Activities, Personal Religious Experience, Personal Ties in the Congregation, Commitment to Intellectual Search Despite Doubt, Openness to Religious Growth, Dogmatism, Extrinsic Orientation, Financial Behavior and Attitude, Talking and Reading about Religion.

Response Format
Respondents rate each item using a custom response format.
Response anchors: 1 = Strongly Disagree / Highly Inaccurate / Never, 2 = Disagree / Inaccurate / Seldom, 3 = Agree / Accurate / Often, 4 = Strongly Agree / Highly Accurate / Regularly.
The scale includes 6 reverse-scored items to reduce acquiescence bias.
Scoring
Items are scored by subscale, with each subscale sum representing a distinct dimension.
Total scores range from 0 to 100. Interpretation guidelines:
