The PERCENTRANK.EXC function in Google Sheets is used to calculate the rank of a specific value within a given data set, expressed as a percentage. This function can be useful in determining the relative position of a particular data point in relation to the rest of the data. To use this function, the user must first select the cell where they want the result to appear, then enter the function name followed by the cell range containing the data and the value for which they want to find the percentage rank. The result will be a decimal value between 0 and 1, where 0 represents the lowest rank and 1 represents the highest rank. This function is particularly helpful for analyzing and interpreting data in a spreadsheet.
