To calculate a percentage rate in Google Sheets, you can use the formula = (part/whole) * 100, where “part” is the value you want to find the percentage of and “whole” is the total value. This formula will return the percentage rate as a decimal, which you can then format as a percentage by selecting the cell and clicking on the “%” button in the toolbar. Alternatively, you can use the built-in function =PERCENTAGE(part, whole) to directly calculate the percentage rate without having to multiply by 100. Both of these methods can be used to easily calculate percentage rates in Google Sheets for various data sets.
