The DATEVALUE function in Google Sheets is a useful tool for converting a date in text format into a numerical date value that can be used in various calculations and functions. This function takes a date in a recognizable format and converts it into a date serial number, which is the number of days since December 30, 1899. Once converted, this numerical value can be used in various date-related calculations, such as finding the difference between two dates or determining the day of the week for a given date. By using the DATEVALUE function, you can efficiently work with dates and perform complex calculations in your Google Sheets without having to manually convert them into numerical values.
