CAUSATIVE VERB

n. a verb form which expresses a causal relationship between the subject and the object of a sentence. For example, words such as (to) persuade, empower, or enliven imply that something (an effect) is being caused. See actional verb.

CAUSATIVE VERB: “With the use of language, a causative verb relays the notion that an action word has the potential to cause a result.”
