WOODWORTH, ROBERT SESSIONS

American psychologist. Woodworth earned his doctorate in psychology from Columbia University, studying with James McKeen Cattell. He became a staff member of Columbia, where he stayed for the duration of his working years. Woodworth is most widely recognized for his textbooks which impacted years upon years of psychologists and impressed upon the field of experimental psychology for decades. His most imperative works are inclusive of the introductory textbook Psychology, Contransient Schools of Psychology , and Experimental Psychology.
