TRIGEMINAL NUCLEUS

either of two nuclei correlated with the three primary roots of each trigeminal nerve. The spinal progresses downward inside the medulla oblongata to the upper area of the spinal cord and is recipient to fibers from temperature and pain receptors. The principal sensory is recipient to big myelinated fibers from pressure receptors within the skin and conveys impulses upward to the thalamus.

TRIGEMINAL NUCLEUS: “The trigeminal nucleus can be viewed in most of the slides presented.”
