It is characterized by sudden onset, short duration losses/disruptions of consciousness followed by spontaneous recovery. It is frequently associated with low blood pressure. Grammatically, syncope refers to the linguistic habit of leaving syllables or sounds out of word such as pronouncing “probably” as “probably.”
