SEGMENTATION

Process of behavior adjustment wherein a complicated progression of behavior patterns is broken into components to make sure the patient can more readily understand and grasp one or two simultaneously. Separation of an animal’s body system into several comparable chambers (metameres). Metamerism is most obvious in annelid worms, wherein the layout of muscle tissues, blood vessels, nerves, and other structures recurs in every section.

SEGMENTATION: “Earthworms exhibit segmentation.”
