A life stance that focuses on the way human beings can lead happy and functional lives. Posits that human beings are capable of being ethical and moral without religion or God. Emphasizes the unique responsibility facing humanity and the ethical consequences of human decisions. Understanding of free thought, speech, and inquiry as an intrinsic part of human potential.
