RUBROSPINAL TRACT

Primary path for the mediation of voluntary motion. Accountable for large muscle motion including the arms and the legs as well as fine motor control. It enables the flexion and prevents extension in the upper portion of the extremities. Origination in the magnocellular red nucleus, crosses the midbrain, and descends laterally in the brain stem.
