RISK SENSITIVITY

Capability of an organism to discriminate between a habitat where resources are fairly stable over a long period versus a habitat in which large fluctuations of resources occur. If a species exhibits risk sensitivity, it will choose a fairly stable environment, whereas a less sensitive species may choose a less stable environment.
