Relapse Prevention Program

A Relapse Prevention Program is a structured program that attempts to keep patients, usually substance abuse patients from returning to their old habits. This can be done through continuing psychotherapy and meetings, emotional support, and other means of physical and social support as needed. One of the best known examples of these types of programs are Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
