RECIPROCAL DETERMINISM

An assertion that a reciprocal relation exists among environment, behavior and the individual. That is to say, that instead of the environment being a one-way path of influence on a person’s behavior, there is a two-way influence where environment influences behavior, behavior has influence on the environment and both influence the individual.

RECIPROCAL DETERMINISM: “Reciprocal determinism rejects the notion that only environment influences behavior.”
