REASSURANCE

A supportive approach in counseling. It encourages clients to believe in themselves and in the real possibility of improvement. It is common in many forms of psychotherapy. Reassurance is also useful in diminishing anxiety by explaining to a client that the feeling of anxiety or tension is temporary and not to be considered unexpected.

REASSURANCE: “Reassurance can be of great benefit to some anxiety sufferers.”
