Quality is open to individual interpretation, but generally is the characteristic of a thing or feeling that makes it unique. Quality reflects a difference in kind rather than quantity. Two pieces of music may have the exact same number of notes, but if one is played by a beginning amateur and the other is played by a maestro, the difference in quality is immediately apparent.
