Melanie Klein developed psychoanalytic play technique in the 1920’s. It is a child analytical method in which children’s play activity and concurrent fantasies and conflicts are studied and interpreted. The therapist provides toys to the child and observes the subject’s free play to uncover hidden wishes and conflicts.
