Procedural safeguards (as they apply to the public education system) is a set of guidelines that are used to provide assistance and guidance in planning an Individual Education Plan. This allows for the free and open participation of parents, teachers, and other involved parties in setting up, evaluating, and, if need be, revising an educational plan for a child.
