is an umbrella term used to describe a wide range of terms. For example, neglect (in terms of provision) is the failure to provide the basic needs and requirements for a person, if food and water for example are not provided, then that is considered neglect. Equally, children for example, can be classed as emotionally neglected if parents or siblings do not wish to converse or have any real connection with them through primordial family relationships.
NEGLECT: “Child neglect involves the failure to provide the basic necessities for the development of the child and equally neglecting to protect them in times of trouble.”
